Downtown Historic District is truly the heart of Cookeville with it’s quaint, small town charm and it’s bustling night life. It’s full of history and we love to show it off. It offers an array of local restaurants serving everything from International foods (World Foods), cajun cuisine (Crawdaddy’s), southern food with a twist (7 Senses), finger licking BBQ and ribs (The Blue Pig), to delicious homemade cheesecake (37 Cedar). You’ll enjoy a stroll through the historic district with a view patriotic 9-11 building murals and authentic Coca-Cola building signs.
To satisfy your sweet tooth, we have the historic Cream City Ice Cream Parlor where you can sit on the sidewalk beneath the antique neon sign on top of the building and enjoy a scoop or two of ice cream. Then there’s the famous Ralph’s donut shop, which is ranked in the top 25 donut shops in the nation by thedailymeal.com.
For your entertainment, we have a variety of live acts that perform nightly at 37 Cedar. You can also taste local craft beer while listening to some of the local talent at both Red Silo Brewing Co and Hix Farm Brewery. You might also get to karaoke til your hearts content at Nowhere Bar and Grill.
Please come and enjoy a night on the town and see what Cookeville is all about
